Progressive Era

" Progressivism is an umbrella label for a wide range of economic, political, social, and moral reforms"( digitalhistory.uh.edu ). This was basically a time where the middle class and working class sought to better there society through action. " Progressives enacted minimum wage laws for women workers, instituted industrial accident insurance, restricted child labor, and improved factory regulation" ( digitalhistory.uh.edu ). This movement was lead by people called the Progressives who were "... people who believed that the problems society faced (poverty, violence, greed, racism, class warfare) could best be addressed by providing good education, a safe environment, and an efficient workplace" ( gwu.edu )....
