This image was found on politicalcartoons and the author of this cartoon is addressing America's difficulties in managing all of its acquired territories. As the different territories such as Cuba, Hawaii, The Philippines, and Puerto Rico are all characterized as children who are all in need of adult supervision that the Uncle Sam in the cartoon is unable to provide to all of them simultaneously.

This political cartoon was found on teachingsocials and it shows Uncle Sam stepping on The Philippines and Cuba and moving toward Canada. The author of this cartoon is representing America's growing imperialism and thirst for new territories. This cartoon is also quite ironic since America just gained its independence from Britain and is now claiming new territories under colonial rule.

This political cartoon is from weebly.com and illustrates the careless manner in which The United States was acquiring new territories. The flags represent America's claims on certain territories and yet the flag does not represent the constitutional rights of the people. Because the people in those territories did not receive the same rights as American citizens.
